Go beyond the Sacred Valley & experience all of this amazing country!
SACRED VALLEY & MACHU PICCHU (CUSCO)
The most popular attraction in all of Peru - for good reason! This incredible valley was "discovered" by an American in the early 1900's after hundreds of years of quiet dormancy following the fall of the Incan Empire.
Over 1.5 million people visited Machu Picchu last year, and the numbers are expected to increase with plans for an international airport on the horizon. Because of the potential damage and increased foot traffic that the airport may bring, we highly recommend traveling sooner rather than later.
VINICUNCA
A couple hours outside of Cusco is the amazing Rainbow Mountain or Montaña de Siete Colores in Vinicunca. When the ice that once covered Peru thousands of years ago melted, the water mixed with minerals in the ground, prompting the gorgeous color changes that are still seen today.
LAKE TITICACA
Often regarded as the birthplace of the Incas, Lake Titicaca is surrounded by numerous ruins - some of which have been found in the lake itself, dating back over 1000 years! It is distinctive for its size, 40+ islands, and the fact that it's the highest "navigable" body of water on Earth.
LIMA
Lying on the Pacific coast, Peru's capital city is full of history and well-preserved colonial architecture.
